The center of the domed cover is intricately carved in openwork, featuring leafy scrollwork and flowers, finely painted in shades of red, green, and white. The box and cover encircled by a gold and black key-fret border, with the sides similarly decorated. The base is lacquered black and adorned with two ripe peaches growing from gnarled leafy branches below a four-character Yongzheng mark. The interiors also painted in gold.
