A creamy white-glazed stoneware jar and cover (Tang dynasty, AD 618-907)

The jar finely potted with an ovoid body supported on a flat foot, rising to a short waisted neck and subtly everted rim. The domed cover surmounted with a bud-shaped finial. The jar covered overall in an ivory-coloured glaze, with the base left unglazed to reveal the buff stoneware body.
