Asian Art in London 2024 – ‘Purity of Form’
Slaats Fine Art is delighted to announce its forthcoming exhibition at Sotheby’s London, as part of ‘Asian Art in London 2024’.
The exclusively curated collection of Chinese works of art includes ceramics, jade, cloisonné, an exquisite group of rare, important and imperial lacquerware, as well as selected works by the contemporary Chinese painter Chen Ruo Bing.

Asian Art in London 2024 – ‘Chen Ruo Bing’
Chen Ruo Bing (born 1970) is a Chinese contemporary artist based in Düsseldorf, Germany, celebrated for his minimalist, abstract paintings that explore the interplay of colour, light, and form. Blending Eastern philosophy, particularly Taoist and Zen principles, with Western abstraction, his work often features simple geometric shapes and delicate colour transitions.
Chen’s art evokes a sense of tranquility and contemplation, using space and subtle hues to engage the viewer in a quiet dialogue about perception and the essence of reality. His distinctive approach offers a harmonious fusion of cultural influences, creating art that is both visually serene and thought-provoking.
